01 / Evaluation
Map the customer work your team already understands
A configurable CRM should reflect a clear business process. Start with the path from an enquiry to a lead, a follow-up, an opportunity and the next operational step. Identify where information is copied, ownership becomes unclear or a decision needs approval.
Nexo CRM brings leads, contacts, activities, deals and revenue operations into a configurable workspace. Its fields, layouts, views, workflows and approvals can be adapted around the process being evaluated. Confirm the implementation and current release scope rather than assuming every team needs the same configuration.
Review checklist
- Describe how an enquiry becomes a lead and then an opportunity.
- Name the owner of each stage and its completion criteria.
- Identify activities, service cases and commercial records involved.
02 / Evaluation
Define records, fields and relationships
List the records your team uses and the information needed to work with them. Separate required fields from details that are merely convenient. Agree the relationships among contacts, companies, deals and operational records before designing layouts.
Use representative, non-sensitive records to review the intended views. A configuration is easier to operate when the team can recognise the next action from the information shown. Begin with a focused version and verify that its fields support the actual workflow.
Review checklist
- Required fields and clear meaning for each record.
- Relationships and responsibility for keeping records current.
- Views and layouts that support the team's next action.
03 / Evaluation
Agree roles and approvals before automating
Define who may create, edit, approve and review information. An approval should represent a real decision in the business process, such as reviewing a quote or moving a commercial document to its next stage. Make the responsibility clear before adding a workflow around it.
Test what an authorised user can do and what a user outside that role cannot do. Review the exception path when required information is missing or an approval is declined. The configured workspace should help the team understand what is waiting and who owns it.
04 / Evaluation
Keep quote-to-cash records distinct from money movement
Nexo includes quotes, orders, invoices and payment-record workflows. Map those records to the actual commercial process and identify which changes require review. A payment recorded in a CRM is different from a transaction accepted by a payment provider.
Nexo payment records are a ledger, not a payment processor. Any payment-provider integration needs separate scope and authoritative confirmation. Apply the same source-of-truth review to other connected operational systems.
Review checklist
- Which document follows each approved commercial step.
- Who can change or approve the related records.
- Where an actual payment or external action is confirmed.
05 / Evaluation
Evaluate a configured workspace with representative work
Walk through a lead, an activity, a deal progression and the relevant commercial records using the proposed configuration. Include missing information, changed details and an approval exception. Review the intended views and access responsibilities with the people who will use them.
Bring your current records, roles and approvals to a Nexo evaluation. Implementation scope and availability are confirmed for your requirements. AI assistant functionality is confirmed separately rather than assumed to be part of every release.
Review checklist
- Representative lead-to-deal and quote-to-cash cases.
- Expected views, permissions and approval outcomes.
- Confirmed implementation scope and separate assistant availability.
